Seajets Introduced HSC SIFNOS JET On The Piraeus – Western Cyclades Route

Seajets’ HSC SIFNOS JET will be introduced on July 18 on the Piraeus – Western Cyclades line.

The small high-speed craft arrived in Elefsina on December 9, 2016 – onboard the general cargo ship EIT PALMINA.

In the past she served the islands of New Caledonia – as the BETICO – on behalf of Compagnie Maritime des Iles. She is fully repaired and upgraded and she has also changed her main engines.

SIFNOS JET was built in Australia (Austal) in 1999. She has a GT of 908. With a length of 52.4m her carrying capacity is 500 passengers.

She is equipped with 4 x MTU 4000 M05 main engines and her speed is 35 knots.

Seajets Purchase the Laid-Up HSC CAPRICORN

Cypriot-based Seajets confirmed the purchase of the monohull HSC CAPRICORN (1999), which is laid up at the Nauta Lamjana shipyard in Croatia since 2011.

The vessel belonged to the American Avid Ltd, which purchased her from Aliaga with the prospect of converting her into a mega-superyacht, but plans fell through.

HSC CAPRICORN is a sister ship of TERA JET and she arrived at the port of Piraeus under tow on 19 June (see photo).

Greek ferry operator Seajets continues to expand it fast ferry fleet with the acquisition of two second-hand vessels.

The company bought two car-carrying Austal high-speed craft, the 60m CEZAYIRLI HASAN PASA from IDO, Turkey, and the 82m ALMOTTAHEDAH I, better known as TT Lines’ former TT-DELPHIN.
