Marine Atlantic, a Canadian Crown corporation, provides ferry services between the Island of Newfoundland and the Province of Nova Scotia. One of their ferries is the Tallink Grupp owned ATLANTIC VISION, which is on charter. The charter will be extended until November 2019. The company said it will continue to work with the Government of Canada regarding future fleet configuration.
AS Tallink Grupp has announced to the Tallinn Stock Exchange that it plans to undertake a secondary listing of the Company’s shares on the Nasdaq Helsinki Stock Exchange. The effective date for listing is estimated to be early autumn 2018.
Tallink Grupp’s shares will also continue to be listed on the Nasdaq Tallinn Stock Exchange.

In April 2018 AS Tallink Grupp transported 789,272 passengers, which is a 2.3% decrease compared to April 2017. The number of cargo units increased by 16.5% to 33,159 units and the number of passenger vehicles decreased by 4.0% to 87 450 units.

The Supervisory Board of AS Tallink Grupp elected Mr Paavo Nõgene as the new Board Member of Tallink Grupp and appointed him as the new CEO with effect from 1 May 2018. The current CEO of Tallink Grupp, Mr Janek Stalmeister, will remain in the group as a Member of the Management Board.
Tallink Grupp Earns Record Amount Of EUR 967 Million Revenue In 2017
According to the unaudited financial results, Tallink Grupp AS earned a record amount of EUR 967 million revenue in 2017. In addition, the group’s highest ever number of passengers in one year – over 9.8 million – significantly increased the revenue of the group’s restaurants and shops to nearly 537 million euros, taking the Grupp’s net profit for 2017 to a total of EUR 49 million.
Compared to the previous financial year, the Grupp’s turnover increased by 3.1% and the net profit by 11.8%.
The launch of the Grupp’s newest vessel, Megastar, on the Tallinn-Helsinki route early in the year increased the capacity of this route and improved the efficiency.
The most positive development in 2017 was the growth of the cargo business. The Cargo volumes increased in all geographical segments in total by 11.0%, the cargo revenues increased by 13.3% or EUR 13.8 million compared to last year and amounted to EUR 117.7 million in 2017.
