A New RoRo Ship for Mann Lines Launched at Cantiere Navale Visentini

Cantiere Navale Visentini has just launched a new RoRo ship (hull number C.236) in Porto Viro, which is set to be on a long-term charter with Mann Lines. The delivery is scheduled for the second quarter of 2025. 

 This vessel is a sister ship (albeit longer) to the ML FREYJA, which was built by the same shipyard and delivered to Mann Lines in 2017. 

 The technical specifications are as follows: a garage capacity of 3,000 lane metres plus around 200 cars, an overall hull length of 203 metres, two Wärtsilä engines of 7,200 kW each, a speed of 22 knots, RINA class, Ice Class 1A, and methanol-ready. 

The new Polferries Ro-Pax is taking shape

The shipyard Cantiere Navale Visentini located in Porto Viro, Italy is building a new Ro-Pax for Polferries. The 10-year charter contract was signed in August 2022.

The new ferry will be the largest in this Polish shipowner’s fleet. It will have around 3,000 lane meters for freight units (140-145 standard trucks 16,5-17m) which will be loaded on 3 ro-ro decks and in addition opportunity to load about 200 passenger cars on other 2 car decks.

The ferry will accommodate 920 passengers and 60 crew members.

It will enter the fleet in mid-2024 and will operate on the Swinoujscie-Ystad route.

New ro-pax for Polferries launched at Cantiere Navale Visentini (VIDEO)

The new ro-pax, to be delivered to Polferries, has just been launched at Cantiere Navale Visentini in Italy and will enter service in the second half of 2024.

The vessel will be chartered from a subsidiary of the shipbuilder for a period of 10 years, with a purchase option after 6 years.

New Record For Cantiere Navale Visentini With The Launch Of Ropax CIUDAD DE VALENCIA

Cantiere Navale Visentini broke a record with the newbuilding CIUDAD DE VALENCIA, the longest ropax ever launched at the shipyard based in Porto Viro, Rovigo.

Designed by NAOS Ship and Boat Design, the ship set to be chartered long-term by Trasmediterranea will have a length of 203m, a 25m beam and a capacity of 2,600 lane metres and 1,000 passengers. Delivery is scheduled for May 2020.

According to some rumours, the sistership due for delivery in 2021 might also be chartered by Trasmediterranea (Armas Group).
