A-Ships Management’s GOLDEN BRIDGE (1990) was introduced on the Bari – Durrës Line on September 3, 2021. The Japanese-built vessel was chartered to GNV for further service on the Italy-Albania line. (3-month charter + purchase option is the rumour)
A-Ships Management decided to introduce its GOLDEN BRIDGE on the Igoumenitsa-Corfu-Brindisi line from July 3, 2020.
Having no other charter proposal for her due to Covid-19, A-Ship Management made this smart move. Last summer, the impressive ship was chartered to FRS Iberia and served the Motril-Melilla line.
The launch of the former Japanese ferry seems to be the Greek response to the Grimaldi Lines ferries CORFU and FLORENCIA.
At the same time, A-Ship Management‘s move seems to be a new attempt from the Greek side to return on the route, even seasonally, after the exit of Agoudimos Lines and Endeavor Lines.
After a six-month period, FRS has decided not to extent the charter of the A-SHIPS Management’s GOLDEN BRIDGE.
The ship will soon return back to Greece. She will be temporarily replaced by Transmediterranean’s VRONSKIY on the Motril – Melilla line.
The Japanese-build vessel was chartered to FRS Iberia on April 2019 and entered service on the Motril – Melilla run on June 2019, after having completed successfully all the proper inspections.
