From Grimaldi To Finnlines

Grimaldi Group’s EUROCARGO SAVONA is on her way to the Baltic Sea, chartered by Finnlines for Rostock – Hanko.

Her arrival will allow Finnlines to add a vessel on the TransRussiaExpress service (Lübeck/Travemünde – (Kotka) – Saint Petersburg.

Fjordline’s Ropax OSLOFJORD Has Been Reflagged

Last year, Fjord Line announced its intention to change the flag from the Danish ship register DIS, to the Norwegian ship register NOR. The reason is that about 90% of the passengers are are Norwegians. (route: Sandefjord – Strömstad). The reflagging happened end of March.

Certification Trip For Alpha Lines’ HSC SPEED CAT 1

On April 2, 2 Alpha Lines’ (Vas. Agapitos) recent acquisition HSC SPEED CAT 1 had her trip of certification and acquaintance with the Saronic Gulf islands that she will serve. The vessel was purchased in September 2020 from the Croatian Adriatic Lines and she will be introduced on the Piraeus – Poros – Hydra – Spetses line on April 10, 2021.

Seaspeed Lines OLYMPUS Is Being Reactivated Within The Hellenic Coastal Shipping

On March 30, 2021 the Coastal Shipping Council of the Hellenic Ministry of Shipping decided that Seaspeed Ferries’ OLYMPUS will be introduced on the Piraeus-Sifnos-Milos-Santorini line (plus a weekly call at the small island of Thirassia).

The Japanese built ferry was laid up since September 2020 suffering engine failure that will be repaired before entering service.

Stena Line Boosts Frequency On Rosslare-Fishguard

Starting April 7, Stena Line is boosting the frequency of its sailings between Fishguard – Rosslare from 14 sailings to 24 every week.

With the easing of lockdown restrictions, and a hope that international tourist travel will resume shortly, Stena Line is anticipating a busy summer. The Fishguard – Rosslare route is particularly popular with tourists.
