Hjørring Municipal Council has approved a DKK 740 million loan guarantee for the extension of the Port of Hirtshals’ western breakwater.
The breakwater will be extended by approximately 350 metres to improve navigational safety, manoeuvring conditions and ferry service reliability.
Construction is expected to begin in 2027 and be completed in 2029 or 2030.
