CPP Investments and OMERS have agreed to sell their respective 33.9% and 30% stakes in Associated British Ports (ABP) to a fund managed by IFM Investors, giving it a combined 63.9% majority holding. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Completion is expected in the first half of 2027, subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals. CPP Investments acquired its stake in 2015, while OMERS invested in 2006.

ABP handles approximately 25% of UK seaborne trade. IFM, owned by Australian pension funds and the UK’s Nest, plans to support continued investment in the group’s infrastructure and operations.
