Outgoing Cypriot Deputy Shipping Minister Natasa Pilides announced during a press conference on Monday July 6, that EU approved for a maximum state aid of EUR 6 million annually, for a Cyprus – Greece ropax ferry connection.
A crossing between Cyprus and Piraeus takes 16 hours. Last service was two decades ago.
The tender process can now be started.
