EXPRESS 5, the new Molslinjen ferry, is the world’s largest in terms of the number of cars and passengers.
The ferry can accommodate up to 1,610 passengers and 451 cars on two car decks.
The interest in Bornholm has increased so much that the capacity on the ferry route (to Ystad) was quickly challenged, and therefore Molslinjen together with the Ministry of Transport decided already in 2019 to place an order for the construction of EXPRESS 5.
EXPRESS 5 is to be handed over to Molslinjen around the turn of the year 2022/2023.
First trip with passengers on 20 March 2023.
