DFDS Will Add A 4th Ferry On Dunkerque – Rosslare

On April 1, DFDS will introduce a fourth ferry –ARK DANIA– to the successful direct ferry service between Rosslare Europort and Dunkerque.

This brings the number of direct services between Rosslare and the European Continent to 36, every week.

ARK DANIA is a freight ferry with a capacity of 188 truck units (including 12 driver accompanied units and 176 unaccompanied units/trailers).

Irish Hauliers are Bypassing Welsh Ports to Avoid Brexit Bureaucracy

“On our European routes there’s a 500% increase in freight volume going through the port compared to last year,” says Glenn Carr, GM Rosslare Europort.

He believes this change in operations will not be temporary.

He said decisions by ferry companies and businesses who trade with the EU to re-direct freight, have been made based on market analysis.

Bergen-based photographer Tom Gulbrandsen captured LNG-powered ferry FANAFJORD, on her way to Stavanger. During spring she will start to operate in the greater Hamburg area for ElbFerry.

FESTOS PALACE in Malta for Repairs and Drydocking

Minoan Lines’ FESTOS PALACE is at the Palumbo Shipyards (Malta) since 15 January, undergoing scheduled repairs and dry docking (dock no 4). The ship is expected to be back on Piraeus-Heraklion as from 15 February.
