Bay Ferries Service to Resume in June
Bay Ferries says it will launch its Nova Scotia to Maine ferry service by 26 June, according to a schedule posted on the company’s website.
It will serve as the inaugural season for the service to Bar Harbor after there were no commercial crossings between Yarmouth, N.S., and Bar Harbor, Maine, during the 2019 season.
Bar Harbor council voted the expected: THE CAT isn’t coming back to Portland.
Bay Ferries Ltd. will move its high-speed ferry from Portland to Bar Harbor as part of a lease agreement approved by the town.
Portland officials say the ferry’s departure would open up opportunities for waterfront development.
Bay Ferries has been saying a return to Bar Harbor for ferry service between Nova Scotia and Maine is something it is has been exploring.
